NOTICE FOR WALK-IN INTERVIEW

Applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates holding a Sikkim Subject Certificate/Certificate of Identification issued by the competent authority of the Government of Sikkim for appointment to the following posts on a contractual basis in the State Pollution Control Board-Sikkim, under the Forest and Environment Department, Government of Sikkim.

Other Terms and Conditions:

1. The posts are purely on a temporary basis for a period of one year and may be renewed based on performance.
2. Applicants must possess a Sikkim Subject Certificate/Certificate of Identification issued by the competent authority.
3. Candidates must have a valid local employment card or NOC in the case of in-service candidates.
4. Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 21 years old but should not exceed 40 years as of the date of the interview.
5. No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in the interview.
6. The prescribed application form is available in the office of the undersigned and on the Board’s website.
7. A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 200/- is to be paid through a Demand Draft in favor of the Member Secretary, SPCB-Sikkim, payable at Deorali.
8. Selected candidates must report within one week of appointment.
9. Candidates with adverse reports regarding character & antecedents or moral turpitude are not eligible to apply.
10. Candidates terminated on disciplinary grounds are also not eligible.
11. Selected candidates must furnish a fitness certificate at the time of appointment.

Selection Procedure:

• Selection shall be based on a walk-in interview conducted by an Interview Committee.
• The decision of the Interview Committee shall be final and binding.

How to Apply:

• Eligible candidates must submit applications in the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of their testimonials.
• Applications should be enclosed in a sealed envelope, superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JSA/FA”, and addressed to:
  Member Secretary,
  State Pollution Control Board-Sikkim,
  Parivesh Bhawan, Block C, Forest Secretariat Complex, Deorali, Gangtok, Sikkim.
• Last date for submission: 22nd March 2025 (1500 hours).

Final Selection:

• The final list of selected candidates will be published on the SPCB-Sikkim website (www.spcb.sikkim.gov.in).

General Information:

1. Candidates must ensure that they meet all eligibility criteria before applying.
2. SPCB-Sikkim will determine eligibility at the time of the interview.
3. Candidates are advised to apply well before the closing date.
4. SPCB-Sikkim is not responsible for any delays in submission.
5. Candidates must keep their email ID active for further communications.
6. Selected candidates will be subject to medical fitness verification.
7. Legal disputes, if any, shall be settled in Gangtok jurisdiction only.
8. SPCB’s decision on selection and appointment is final.
