Job Notification: Contractual Teaching & Non-Teaching Positions at Dow Hill School, Kurseong (Session 2025)

Dow Hill School, Kurseong, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for various contractual positions for the 2025 academic session.

The initial contract period is for 11 months, with a possibility of renewal based on performance and satisfaction upon contract completion.

Available Positions

1. Bengali Mistress – (1 Position)

• Qualification: M.A/B.A. (Hons.) in Bengali with B.Ed.
• Responsibilities: Teaching Bengali as per the school curriculum, preparing lesson plans, conducting assessments, and ensuring the holistic development of students in the subject.

2. Junior English Mistress – (1 Position)

• Qualification: B.A. (Hons.) in English with B.Ed.
• Responsibilities: Teaching English at the junior level, enhancing students’ language skills, and conducting co-curricular activities related to the subject.

3. Music Mistress – (1 Position)

• Qualification: Diploma in Music with vocal training; must be proficient in playing the piano.
• Responsibilities: Conducting music lessons, training students in vocal and instrumental music, organizing school events and choir performances.

4. Aayah (Support Staff) – (2 Positions)

• Qualification: Minimum Class VIII pass.
• Responsibilities: Assisting students, maintaining cleanliness in the school premises, and supporting teachers in managing young students.
