Kurseong lies about 32 km from Darjeeling and 34 km from Siliguri at roughly 1,500 metres. It is known for tea estates such as Castleton, Makaibari and Ambootia, the Eagle’s Crag viewpoint, the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose museum at Giddhapahar, and its boarding schools. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway stops here, and New Jalpaiguri is about 45 km away.
