Diploma Course in Pharmacy, at the Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri for the session 2023-2024 for 4 (four)
reserved seats for G.T.A nominated candidates.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
Passed Higher Secondary(10+2) Examination in (science stream) or its equivalent examination in general
stream with physics chemistry & biology mathematics.
Candidates passed in higher secondary (10+2) or equivalent in vocational stream/distance education course
are not eligible for admission in D.Pharm as stated by the Pharmacy Council of India
Age Limit:
Candidates shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, 2023.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of total marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry,
and Mathematics or Biology (whichever is higher) at the H.S.(10+2) Examination (General Stream)
or equivalent examination as approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
Candidates have to separately pass both the theory and practical examination in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology or Mathematics (as applicable).
The tie shall be broken up by marks in Chemistry if still tie, then Physics and if still tie,
then Mathematics or Biology (which is higher) and if still a tie then higher age would incur higher merit.
The applicant must be an Indian citizen and should reside uninterruptedly continuously for not
less than 10 (ten )years as on 31/12/2022 or their parents within hills areas of Kalimpong and
Darjeeling district. (Domicile certificate issued by appropriate authority as mentioned in
application format (Proforma-a 1)is required.
Hostel accommodation will be available for male candidates as per
availability of seats in the institute.
Selected candidates will have to bear their own cost of study.
No stipend will be awarded. The eligible candidates may apply in plain paper as per
following proforma or take a print out of attached format, fill The details and with all
attached documents should reach The Executive Director, Health & Family Welfare Department,
2nd Floor, Luwis Jubilee Complex, R.N Sinha Road, Darjeeling via registered post within 15th August, 2023.
Duration of the Course: The duration of the course shall be for two academic years in addition to 500
hours practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST
category are requested to attach certificate issued from appropriate authority.
