Peacefully nestled among the range of lofty mountains 'Lamagaon' is a small beautiful village that falls under Pul-Bijanbari Development block, in the district of Darjeeling (West Bengal) is at a distance of around 35- 40 Kilometers from Darjeeling town and approximately 12 Kilometer from Bijanbari.
This place is famous for its locally grown vegetable 'Iskus' which is one of the major cultivation of the valley. Apart from Iskus, cardamom is another important cultivation cultivated by the local farmers of Lamagaon.
Lamagaon is locally being praised for its annual sports activities mainly Football which is organized by 'Lamagaon Welfare Society' a local organization established in the year 2014. The society not only organized Football but also provides various social activities like free computer education, youth parliament programs and many other helpful works for a better society.
