Job Position: Casual Newsreader-cum-Translator (CNRT)

Languages Required:

• Nepali
• Bhutia
• Lepcha

Essential Qualifications:

1. Graduate from a recognized university.
2. Proficiency in the respective regional language.
3. Good quality voice suitable for broadcasting.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in journalism, preferably in Radio/TV.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Nature of Work:

• Translating news from English/Hindi to the respective regional language.
• Reading news bulletins in the respective language.

Age Limit:

• Between 21 to 50 years as of the last date of application.

Fee Structure (Non-refundable):

Candidates must submit an application processing fee via Bank Draft in favor of Station Director, Akashvani, Gangtok:

• General category: ₹300 + 18% GST = ₹354
• SC/ST/OBC: ₹225 + 18% GST = ₹266

Important Notes:

• This is a casual assignment and does not guarantee permanent employment.
• Bookings will be assigned based on organizational requirements.
• Work is limited to a maximum of 6 days per month and 72 days per year.
