About SHRESHTA (NETS)
The Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA) is a well-structured initiative designed to uplift academically bright SC students. Through this scheme, students can pursue their education in top private residential schools across India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the entrance exam, ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process.
For the academic year 2025-2026, the entrance test will be conducted for students seeking admission in Class 9 and Class 11. The test is scheduled to be conducted in April 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SHRESHTA (NETS) exam, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
- The student must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
- The student must be studying in Class 8 or Class 10 in the current academic year (2024-2025).
- The parent's annual income should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected students will receive a scholarship covering both tuition fees and hostel fees. The details of the scholarship per student per annum are as follows:
