Position: Principal

Location: State-aided general degree colleges in West Bengal (excluding minority status colleges)

Vacancies: The exact number of vacancies will be determined and notified before the merit panel publication, in accordance with WBCSC regulations.

Pay Scale: Academic Level 14 with an entry pay of ₹1,44,200/- plus special allowances as per state government notifications.

Eligibility Criteria for Principal Positions Open in State-Aided Colleges of West Bengal

Academic Qualifications:

• Master's Degree with at least 55% marks.
• Ph.D. Degree.
• Minimum of 15 years of teaching/research experience.
• At least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• A minimum research score of 110 as per UGC regulations.

Language Proficiency:

• Proficiency in the language of instruction of the concerned institution.

Age Limit:

• 40 to 55 years as of January 1, 2024.
• Relaxations available for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and differently-abled categories (10 years).
