Employment Notification No.: WBPDCL/Recruitment/2025/01
The West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL), a Government of West Bengal Enterprise, is inviting applications from experienced superannuated personnel for engagement on a contractual basis.
The initial engagement will be for 02 (two) years, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance. The positions are for mining activities related to coal mines spread across West Bengal & Jharkhand.
A. Details of Positions & Minimum Essential Qualifications

B. Tenure of Engagement & Compensation
- Engagement will be on a contractual basis for 02 (two) years, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance.
- Annual enhancement @ 3% on the consolidated remuneration will be provided based on performance evaluation.
- Superannuated Employees (retired on attaining the age of superannuation) are eligible to apply.
C. Age Limit
- The maximum age limit is 63 years as of 01.02.2025.
D. Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their applications and called for a Personal Interview in Kolkata.
E. How to Apply

- Application Slip: Candidates must download and retain a copy of the system-generated Application Slip for submission during the Personal Interview.
- Name Submission: Candidates must submit their name as it appears in their educational certificates. Any change in name must be supported by legally accepted documents.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must furnish documents such as proof of Date of Birth, Qualification, Category, and Application Slip during the Personal Interview.
- Grade Conversion: If a Grade Point System is adopted, the CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks as per the AICTE guidelines.
F. General Instructions
- Eligibility: Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying.
- Application Submission: Only online applications will be accepted. Manual/physical applications will not be entertained.
- Application Slip: The printout of the Application Slip should not be tampered with. Any overwriting or tampering will lead to rejection.
- Date of Birth: The date of birth will be taken from the birth certificate or Class X certificate/admit card.
- Shortlisting: Submission of an application does not guarantee a call for an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called.
- Verification: WBPDCL reserves the right to verify credentials before the interview. Any deviation from the desired qualifications will lead to rejection.
- False Information: Candidature will be rejected if any information provided is found to be false or non-conforming to the eligibility criteria.
- No TA/DA: No travel or other expenses will be reimbursed for attending the interview.
- Canvassing: Any form of canvassing will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
- Dispute Resolution: In case of any dispute, the legal jurisdiction will be the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
