GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL – Appointment of Member (General) in West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission 

The Government of West Bengal invites applications from eligible candidates for various positions in the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Available Positions & Vacancies:

1. Member (General) – State Commission (1 vacancy)
2. Member (Judicial Background) – State Commission (3 vacancies)
3. Member (General) – District Commission (11 vacancies)
4. Member (Female) – District Commission (4 vacancies)
5. President – District Commission (8 vacancies)
6. President – State Commission (1 vacancy)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age Limit:
  • 35-62 years (for Members – District Commission)
  • 40-62 years (for Members – State Commission)
  • 40-63 years (for Judicial Members)
  • Maximum age: 64 years (for President – State Commission)
• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree for Members.
  • Judicial background required for some positions.
  • Presidents must be qualified District or High Court Judges.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in relevant fields such as law, public affairs, administration, economics, etc.

Important Dates:

• Application Deadline: 28th February 2025
• Written Exam Date: 23rd March 2025

• Upload self-attested copies of age, education, and experience certificates.
• No physical applications will be accepted.

Other Details:

• Tenure: 4 years or up to 65 years (whichever is earlier).
• Monthly Remuneration: ₹45,000 – ₹60,000 (depending on the post).
• No TA/DA for written test or interview.
