Admission in two years Diploma Course in Pharmacy for candidates residing in the G.T.A

Applications are invited from the bonafide candidates residing in the G.T.A. areas (Darjeeling and Kalimpong District) for the admission to two years Diploma Course in Pharmacy, at the Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri for the session 2021-2022 for 4 (four) reserved seats for G.T.A nominated candidates.

Essential: (1)Minimum Educational Qualification: passed in higher secondary (10+2) Examination (science stream) or any other examination as equivalent and recognized by the pharmacy council of India with physics chemistry mathematics or biology. Candidates belonging to vocational stream/distance education course are not eligible to apply.

(2)Age Limit: Lower age limit 17 years and upper age limit 30 years respectively as on 1st June, 2021.The upper age limit for SC/ST candidates shall be 35 years as on 1st June, 2021. (3)Selection Criteria: selection of candidates shall be made strictly on merit basis of the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology in higher secondary (10+2) examination or Equivalent examination.

 (4)The applicant must be Indian citizen and should reside uninterruptedly continuously for not less than 10 (ten) years as on 31/12/2020 or their parents within hills areas of Kalimpong and Darjeeling district.(Domicile certificate issued by appropriate authority as mentioned in application format is required.)

 (5)Hostel accommodation will be available for male candidates as per availability of seats in the institute.

6)Selected candidates will have to bear their own cost of study. 

No stipend will be awarded.
