Certificate Course in Library & Information Science Kalimpong
Director of Library Services, West Bengal, invites applications in the following prescribed form from Indian citizens residing in all districts of North Bengal (i.e. Malda, U/Dinajpur, D/Dinajpur, Jalpaiguri, Alipurdwar, CoochBehar, Darjeeling) in West Bengal for admission as "Fresher" candidates to the Certificate Course in Library & Information Science for the year 2019 at Librarianship Training Centre, People's (Janata) College, Kalimpong, Dist. Kalimpong.
Persons working in any Govt. I Govt Sponsored or Aided Public Libraries of all districts of North Bengal including GTA area may also apply in the following prescribed form as deputed candidate through proper channel.
No. of Seats: 50 (Fifty) out of which 20 Nos. for freshers from GTA area, 20 (Twenty) for freshers from other North Bengal districts and 10(Ten) for deputed candidates of Govt./ Govt Sponsored or Aided Public Libraries North Bengal districts (including GTA, area).
Category wise Vacancy (For GTA area): SC (05 Nos.), ST (01 No.), OBC-A (02 Nos.), OBC-B (02 Nos.)
Unreserved (10 Nos.)
Category wise Vacancy (For Other North Bengal Districts): SC (05 Nos.), ST (01 No.), OBC-A02 Nos.), OBC-B (01 No.) Unreserved (11 Nos.)
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
a. For Freshers Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination passed.
b. For Deputed Candidates Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination passed with minimum 5(five) years of working experience in any Govt./ Govt Sponsored or Aided Public Libraries of West Bengal
Age: 18 to 30 years as on 01-01-2019 for Freshers Candidates (upper age limit relaxable for reserved category as per Govt. Norms).
No age limit for deputed candidate. Duration of Course: 6(six) months (Non-residential) The intending applicants under Freshers category may submit applications in the prescribed format as appended below to the
"District Library Officer, Darjeeling,
Deshbandhu District Library Annexe Building,
35, H. D. Lama Road, PO & Dist. Darjeeling"
by post OR by hand and Deputed candidates may submit the applications through the Proper Channel (i.e. through respective Appointing Authority) to the "Director of Library Services, Govt. of West Bengalalong with the following documents.
For Fresher Candidates
1. Attested copies of Certificate, Admit Card and Mark sheet of Higher Secondary or Equivalent Examination AND Madhyamik or Equivalent Examinations
2. Attested copy of ST/SCIOBC certificate, if any.
3. Attested copies of Ration Card / Electoral Identity Card / Aadhar Card / Residential Certificate, etc as a proof of residence in the district or a locality
. 4. Two recent passport size photographs bearing signature in ink, one copy of which is to be pasted on the application form and other should be enclosed.
5. One self addressed unstamped envelope size 27 cm X 12 cm.
For Deputed Candidates:
1. Recommendation letter of the concerned District Library Officer.
2. Original application of the incumbent.
3. Copy of the LLA's recommendation.
4. Copy of the Appointment letter of the incumbent.
5. Copy of the joining letter of the incumbent.
6. Any other relevant documents on the matter above.
All the copies should be made attested by the Group "A" Officer of the Central / State Govt. Or Head of the Recognized Secondary / Higher Secondary School or College.
Last Date for submission of Application: 26-07-2019 upto 4.30 pm.
List of selected candidates shall be available on or before 05-8-2019 at| the website: www.wbpublibnet.gov.in and www.darjeeling.gov.in Course commence from: 20-08-2019.
