251 Posts are lying vacant in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the posts of Principal, Assistant Commissioner (Administration), Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Assistant and Computer Operator for the year 2019.
Candidates may apply online only (www.navodaya.gov.in) from dated 15/01/2019 to 14/02/2019.

1. PRINCIPAL(GROUP A)

No. of Vacancies: 25 Nos.
Educational Qualification:
i) Master Degree from recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
ii) B. Ed or equivalent teaching degree

Advt. Desirable: i) At least 03 years experience as House Master of a fully residential school
ii) Experience of working in a fully residential CBSE affiliated Govt. recognized school.
iii) Proficiency in English and Hindi/Regional Language
iv) Working knowledge of Computers.
Age Limit: Maximum 50 years as on 14/02/2019.

ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER (ADMINISTRATION) (GROUP-C)

No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate Degree from a recognized University
Experience: i) Holding analogous post on regular basis OR 08 years service. (For more details please see the Official
Advt.) ii) Possessing experience of handling Administrative/ Financial matters in a responsible capacity in Central State Govt./ Autonomous Statutory Organisation. Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 14/02/2019.

3.ASSISTANT

No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) Degree from a recognized University
ii) Knowledge of Computer Operation. Desirable: Three years experience in administrative, financial matters in Central Government Autonomous organisation under the Central Govt.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 14/02/2019.

4.COMPUTER OPERATOR

No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) Degree from a recognised Institution University.
ii) Skill in word-processing and data entry with a one year Computer Diploma from a recognise Institution.
Desirable: Familiarity with various software pack ages.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 14/02/2019.

5. POSTGRADUATE TEACHERS (PGTS) (GROUP-B)

No. of Vacancies: 218 Nos.
Name of the Subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics,Geography, Hindi, History, Maths, Physics & IT Educational
Qualification: i) Two year Integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR Master's Degree from a recognised University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the concerned subjects. (For more details please see the Official Advt.).
i) B.Ed. Degree. in) Proficiency in Teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Desirable: i) Experience as TGT in recognised institution in concerned subject. ii) Experience of working in a residential school. in) Knowledge of Computer application.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 14/02/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.47600-151100
The vacancies are in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) HQ and for its Regional Offices across the country, The selected candidates will initially be on Probation for a period of two years.

Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.

Ex Serviceman & Others, if any - As per Govt. norms. The Written Examination is tentatively scheduled during last week of March, 2019. Candidates must pay Rs. 1500/- for the post of Principal, Rs. 1500/- for the post of Assistant Commissioner (Administration), Rs. 1000/-
