Job Overview

The Coffee Board is seeking a Barista Trainer to organize and conduct training programs across India. This role is purely contractual for 11 months (extendable based on performance) and offers a monthly remuneration of ₹50,000.

Scope of Work

With the rise of gourmet coffee roasters and cafés in India, there’s a growing demand for professionally trained baristas. The selected candidate will bridge this skill gap by organizing Barista Training Programs nationwide. The role requires creativity, flexibility, and a commitment to creating a constructive learning environment.

Eligibility Criteria for Barista Trainer

Educational Qualification and Experience

• Minimum Qualification: 12th pass with at least 2 years of experience as a Barista.
• Preferred Experience: 3+ years as a Barista.
• Age Limit: Not more than 40 years as of the last date of application. Age relaxation of up to 3 years is applicable for SC/ST candidates.

Type of Employment

• This is a contractual role for 11 months, extendable based on performance.
• The position does not lead to a regular job in the Coffee Board.

Responsibilities of the Barista Trainer

The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

1. Training and Demonstration: Attend training sessions conducted by Coffee Board’s in-house trainers and demonstrate proficiency in organizing training programs.
2. Organizing Programs: Conduct Barista training programs across India, including participant registration, venue arrangement, and transportation of training materials.
3. Teaching Skills: Provide both theoretical and practical knowledge to participants, ensuring they master coffee-based beverage preparation and customer service skills.
4. Performance Oversight: Monitor trainee performance and assist them in understanding safety procedures, cleanliness, and customer service.
5. Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks assigned by the competent authority.

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly Salary: ₹50,000 (consolidated).
• Leave Entitlement: 8 days of Casual Leave and 2 days of Restricted Holidays per year (pro-rata basis).
• Training: Professional Barista training will be provided to the selected candidate.
