Eligibility Criteria

Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

• A citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee (before 1st January 1962), or
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from certain countries with the intent of permanent settlement in India (subject to government certification).

Educational Qualification

• Graduate degree from a recognized university.
• Must have completed a minimum three-month certification course in computers OR have studied Information Technology or a related subject at graduation level or later.

Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following experience criteria:

1. Defense Services: At least five years of commissioned service in the Army/Navy/Air Force.
2. Police Services: At least five years of service as Deputy Superintendent of Police or equivalent rank.
3. Paramilitary Forces: At least five years of service at a rank equivalent to Assistant Commandant.
4. Emergency Commissioned/Short Service Commissioned Officers: Must have completed five years of continuous military service and have been released due to completion of assignment or medical reasons.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on Personal Interview and/or Group Discussion (GD).

• If only interview is conducted: Candidates must score minimum 50% (General/EWS) and 45% (SC/ST/OBC) to qualify.
• If both GD and interview are conducted: GD carries 30 marks and interview 70 marks with the same minimum qualifying percentage.
• The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined score of GD and interview.
