Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Gangtok is inviting applications from qualified candidates for various teaching and non-teaching posts on a purely part-time contractual basis for the academic session 2025-26. A walk-in interview will be conducted as per the details mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications (As per KVS norms)
PGT (Post Graduate Teachers)
- Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject
OR - M.Sc. (Integrated Course) from Regional College of Education, NCERT
TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers)
- Four-year integrated degree in the relevant subject with 50% marks
OR - Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and required subject combination
PRT (Primary Teacher)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with 50% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed.
- CTET (Paper I) qualification is mandatory
- Proficiency in Hindi & English
Computer Instructor
- B.E./B.Tech. (CS/IT), BCA/MCA, M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT)
- OR B.Sc. (CS) with PG Diploma in Computer Applications
Special Educator
- XII passed with Diploma in Special Education or equivalent qualification recognized by RCI
Sports Coach
- Diploma from NSNIS / B.P.Ed. / Graduation in Physical Education / Representation at National or Inter-University level
Dance Coach & Yoga Teacher
- Recognition at the State or National level (Classical/Folk Dance)
- Graduation in any subject with One-year Yoga Training
Counsellor
- M.A. in Psychology or equivalent qualification
Staff Nurse
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Nursing
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 65 years
3. Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in teaching in both Hindi & English
- Basic computer knowledge desirable
Remuneration (Monthly Consolidated Pay)
- PGT: ₹32,500
- TGT: ₹31,250
- PRT & Music Teacher: ₹26,250
- Computer Instructor: ₹31,250 (Secondary), ₹26,250 (Primary)
- Special Educator, Sports Coach, Dance Coach, Yoga Teacher, Physical & Art Teacher: ₹26,250
- Counsellor & Staff Nurse: As per KVS norms
General Instructions
- The appointment is purely on a contractual basis until a regular teacher joins or till the end of the academic session (whichever is earlier).
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Teachers will not be entitled to vacation pay.
- Absence from duty will result in salary deduction as per KVS norms.
- Dress Code: Candidates must be neat, trim, and professional in appearance.
