Role and Responsibilities

The Director will:

• Lead the institute to achieve its mission and objectives.
• Foster a dynamic environment conducive to innovation and advanced R&D.
• Manage administrative functions and multidisciplinary teams.
• Drive translational research and strategic technology development for societal benefit.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Natural Sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Ph.D. preferred for engineering candidates).

Experience:

• At least 16 years of R&D experience with proven excellence in leadership, innovation, and translational research.

Age:

• Between 45 to 56 years (relaxable for exceptional candidates).

Skills:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• A track record of IP creation, publications, and technology development.

Appointment Details

• Tenure: 6 years or until superannuation, whichever is earlier.
• Pay Scale: Level 15 of Pay Matrix (₹1,82,200–₹2,24,100) + allowances.
• Additional benefits include residential accommodation, transport, and medical facilities.
