The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has announced a re-examination for the MBBS second-year Pharmacology-I paper scheduled for December 19.

MBBS Paper Leak Pharmacology Exam to be Reconducted on December 19- MUHS

This decision comes after the university received an alarming e-mail on December 3, claiming the original paper held on December 2 was leaked an hour before the examination.

The Pharmacology-I paper, which forms part of the MBBS second-year winter semester exams, was conducted on December 2 in the afternoon session at 50 exam centers across Maharashtra. The exams for the winter semester began on December 2 and are set to conclude on December 16.

Upon receiving the leak alert, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar convened an emergency meeting with the university's examination board. To ensure fairness to all students, the board decided to invalidate the compromised paper and reschedule the exam.

Dr. Kanitkar emphasized the university's commitment to maintaining academic integrity. An inquiry committee will be formed to probe the incident, and the cyber cell has been tasked with investigating the source of the leak.

Additionally, a formal complaint will be filed at the local police station to ensure a thorough investigation and accountability.

Students are advised to prepare for the rescheduled exam while the university takes measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
