For convenience, you can hire a private vehicle from NJP, Bagdogra, or any starting point. If you're on a budget, take a shared vehicle from NJP or Siliguri to Kalimpong for around Rs. 150-200. 

From Kalimpong, hop into another shared vehicle to Lava, costing Rs. 100-150. From Lava, you can either hire a private vehicle to Lungchu for Rs. 2000-2500 or take a shared vehicle to Lingsey, getting off at Lungchu for Rs. 200-300.
