Recruitment of various posts Darjeeling Area

Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizen having residence within the watershed area
or from nearby area for appointment to the following PURELY TEMPORARY posts to be filled up on contractual basis initially for one year at Watershed Development Team (WDT) under Integrated
watershed Management Programme (IWMP-9/2012-2013) at Darjeeling Pulbazar Development Block under Sadar Sub-Division, Darjeeling on the following terms and conditions:-

Terms and Conditions:- 

1. Appointment will be on contractual basis with a fixed consolidated remuneration for an initial 

tenure of one year which may be renewed on evaluation of performance. 

2. The selected candidates will be engaged under WDT at project sites. 

3. Application in the enclosed format along with complete resume/bio-data along with one 

recent passport sized color photograph and attested copies of admit card, mark sheets, 

certificates validating applicants qualification, EPIC and residential certificate from the concerned BDO/Municipality, and the same should be submitted in a sealed envelope super 

scribed with “Application for the post of ………………………………………………………………………and 

Advertisement No…………………………………………….”should be submitted to the above-mentioned 

address within the stipulated time. 

4. Application complete in all respect should reach the Office of the Assistant Director of 

Agriculture(Block),Darjeeling Pulbazar Development Block,Bijanbari,Darjeeling. 

5. Applicants willing to apply for more than one post should submit separate applications for 

each post. 

6. All the advertised posts are purely temporary and there is no scope/possibility of permanency 

in future. 

7. Once engaged, the candidate will be considered as a devoted full time worker under WDT and 

he/she will not be allowed to work under any other organization/VO/NGO etc. 

8. The Project Implementing Agency (PIA) reserves the right to discontinue the engagement of 

any selected candidate at any point of time with one month prior notice if his or her 

performance is not satisfactory. 

9. The PIA & WCDC Darjeeling reserves all the right to accept or reject any application. 

10. The selected candidates will have to sign an indemnity bond/agreement before their 

engagement mandatorily. 

11. Applicants should preferably will be conversant in Nepali. 

12. Candidates having experience in Watershed Management/Natural Resource Management will 

be given due preference. 

13. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview by scrutinizing committee. 

14. The recruitment committee may draw a panel of finally selected candidates which may be 

kept valid for at least one year for eventual engagement by PIA with due approval of Project 

Manager, WCDC, IWMP, Darjeeling. 

15. All correspondences related to interview/recruitment will also be made through e-mail.

November 2014 from 11.00 a.m to 4.00 p.m. in all working days(except 4th Saturdays, Sundays and 

Govt. holidays).Applications may also be submitted by speed post in the above address, but 

application received by post after last date and scheduled time will summarily be rejected and shall 

not be entertained. Again incomplete applications will also be rejected outright.Decession of the 

scrutinizing committee in this regard will be final and binding.
