What is SSC ?
Staff Selection Commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training and comprises of Chairman conducting examinations for conducting recruitment to lower categories of posts. It comprises of two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations who are appointed on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the Central Government from time to time.

How to apply for SSC Examination online: The candidates who are eligible as per the official notification can apply for the notified post. The candidates should apply through the official online application website of SSC http://www.ssconline.nic.in. The candidates who are exempted from payment of fee can directly proceed for filling the application else they should make sure that they make the payment and proceed . The application status will be incomplete if the payment is not made , after the successfully filling up the application details and payment Registration ID and password will be provided and the same will be forwarded to respective email ID and contact number if properly mentioned. After Registration, the candidate can upload their signature and the photograph.
What you need before you apply :
- You need to keep a recent scanned copy of photograph of size between 20KB - 50KB (100x100) and scanned signature of 10KB-20KB. (140x40).
- Valid email ID
- Valid contact number
- Debit card / Internet banking for payment if its asked.
